Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
The short version
- Your projects, hours, notes and money stay on your iPhone.
- No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
- The only thing Clocked fetches from the internet is currency exchange rates, and no personal data goes with that request.
Who we are
Clocked is a time and earnings tracker for freelancers, made by Ivan Solomonov, an independent developer based in Slovenia (EU). For anything about privacy, write to hi@clocked.lol.
What Clocked stores, and where
Everything you put into Clocked stays on your device:
- your projects, their rates, fees, colours and currencies;
- your time entries, their notes and their amounts;
- your settings.
We don't run servers that hold your data, and we never see it. Nothing is uploaded to us.
Backups and exports
Clocked can save backup files and CSV exports. Backups go to the app's folder on your iPhone (Files → On My iPhone → Clocked). If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, those files are part of that backup, under Apple's terms. A CSV export goes wherever you send it from the share sheet, and that is your choice.
Widgets, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
To show your timer and totals in widgets, on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, Clocked shares a small summary with its own widgets. That summary stays on the device too.
Reminders
Reminders such as "Still working?" and "Forgot to start?" are local notifications, scheduled on your iPhone. You can turn them off in Clocked or in iPhone Settings at any time.
Exchange rates
To convert between currencies, Clocked downloads European Central Bank reference rates from Frankfurter, a free open-source service. The request contains only the currencies and dates needed. Like any request on the internet, it reveals your IP address to that service, but it carries no account, no identifier and none of your entries.
What we don't do
- No analytics or crash-reporting tools from third parties.
- No advertising and no ad identifiers.
- No tracking across apps or websites.
- No selling or sharing of data, because we don't have any.
Ratings and email
If you rate Clocked, that goes through Apple's App Store, under Apple's privacy policy. If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply to you, and we don't add you to any list.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything in Settings → Data → Erase all data, or simply delete the app. Deleting the app removes its data and backups from the device. Copies inside your own iPhone backups follow Apple's rules for those backups.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data. Because Clocked doesn't collect personal data on our side, all of it is already in your hands on your device. If you have a question or a request, write to hi@clocked.lol. You can also contact your local data protection authority. In Slovenia, that is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
Children
Clocked is a work tool and is not directed at children.
Changes
If Clocked ever starts handling data differently, for example with sync between devices, this page will be updated before that change ships, and the date at the top will change.
